Do you think we meet people by accident?

This morning, I woke up at 4:45 a.m. naturally. It’s kind of funny because as a child, I thought that was crazy to wake up before 9 a.m. I knew that I needed to get ready and drive into Cincinnati two hours before my scheduled meeting at 8 a.m. I brought my laptop with me and could organize my emails and mastermind about life.

When I pulled into the coffee shop, suddenly I realized why I woke up. A gentleman that I worked with recently was heading into the shop and I smiled. He reminds me so much of my father, and I really can’t explain why. When he went up to the counter, I immediately dropped my laptop down and wanted to get behind him. I smiled and we started talking.

When we worked together, I worked third shift and he was on first. Many….many mornings, we would pass one another because I seemed to always stay over and work the beginning of first shift. I loved the job, and most importantly the people I worked with. He said to me this morning that inspired this email. He said yesterday, my previous company walked out a gentleman that was in the organization for over 20+ years. They gave him an early retirement. This really made me realize something. It doesn’t matter who you are, and how hard you work. If you don’ work for yourself, then this possibility could always occur anywhere and time throughout the world.

 I am also a strong believer that it’s not because of the Global economic conditions. Money didn’t just disappear during the recession. I believe that as a sales professional/marketing specialist, I have to market myself differently and transition into this new economy. The money is available, it is only peoples mindset.

I will personally come into contact with that individual that was walked out yesterday. I can feel it becasue he was very kind to me during our very brief encounters. Because of his situation, I decided to call to action my followers on my blog!

I’m a strong believer in face to face networking. I also believe that we meet people not by accident, but there is a greater force. The same one that woke me up this morning. As humans, it is our responsibility to listen and pay attention at all times. I would like to tell the world today, if you are or know somebody that needs a job. Please have them email me. I would like to refer them to my network of business professionals throughout the world.

Lastly, before I ended the conversation this morning with the gentleman that motivated this blog. I gave him two business cards. One to pass on to a Supervisor in that organization. That Supervisor and I have had excellent masterminding conversations. Secondly, I gave another business card for him to pass onto someone that may need help in regards to employment. He smiled, and I saw my father once again in his eyes. He said, may I submit a resume to you. I said sure!! I know my father is in heaven looking down. I miss you greatly, but you are in my heart forever.
