My grandmother taught a very important lesson when I was little. She graduated from nursing school and had 2 options. The poem I posted earlier this morning was in result because of her decision to move to Midland, MI. She met my grandfather and the rest is history!

Option 1: Move to Midland, Michigan and work at the hospital
Option 2: Move to a second city and work at the hospital.

Her best friend, “Blondie,” and her both agreed their calling was Michigan. One morning 65 years ago, she went to the train station with her father. Blondie, her friend, didn’t appear. My grandmother knew if she hesitated and didn’t get on the train, her father would never allow her to leave Iowa. She was scared….. She was very shy, and never traveled by herself. Her heart told her to board the train and never look back. In result, she arrived in Bay City, Michigan and traveled a taxi to Midland. She spent the first evening in the basement of the hospital in Midland, MI. I love my grandmother because she taught me that if you have a dream. Climb the steps of the train and never look back.

The next two weeks, my focus is on a major event in my life. I am boarding a train and starting a new chapter. In result, I am taking myself offline, and focus on my clients.

Elizabeth Cobb interviewed Pastor James Dixon this morning. He is preparing for one of the biggest events in his life, and I completely understand the time it takes to prepare for a huge event in Cincinnati. Pastor Dixon is a fellow Rainmaker in Indianapolis. He is working directly with Rupert Boneham, and and we share in the same passion to empower people to accomplish their DESTINY. Rupert Kids.org and ElizabethCobb.com are working together to raise money for our charities on June 1 and 2 in Cincinnati, OH.

Pastor James Dixon travels throughout the United States, and works directly with Amazing Leaders for Heavenly Father. He works all with all Mega Church Pastors throughout the world. I have a passion for two leaders in the United States that have changed my life. He works directly with Joyce Meyer and Joel Osteen. Social Media opened my opportunity to work with the greatest Marketing Firm on the Planet and I’m honored to share with you Pastor Dixon’s story.

Pastor and I have a common bond because we continue to fight trials and tribulations presented in our life to be successful in our campaign to change the world. Pastor James Dixon started his struggle at the age of 3 months. He had numerous surgeries and at age 11 he lost is right leg and became an amputee survivor.

He chose basketball as the sport where he found acceptance. It was his goal and dream to play basketball. Adults told him throughout his life you are crippled you have to do something else. The opposition really pushed him into the direction of accepting his handicap, and not to stop following his passion. In result, heavenly father made him strong, and he continued on regardless the battles he needed to overcome to accomplish his dreams.

He decided to try out for a basketball team in middle school. He was cut in 8th grade, 9th grade, 10th grade, and his junior year in high school. Anderson, Indiana didn’t stop Pastor James Dixon.

The more he was denied access to the teams, the more determined became to make the team. He practiced the day he got cut, training and working out every drill the coaches used to evaluate and determine to cut him from the team. Pastor James Dixon ran a mile every day before school, lifted weights, 3.5 hours a day he trained. He played basketball regardless of the weather or the time of year. He played in the heat, snow, rain, because NO ONE was going to stop him!

He tried out for Highland High School Varsity Basketball team his Senior Year in Anderson, IN.

A MIRACLE:

Pastor James Dixon dislocated his knee during the try outs of his senior year! I want for you to visualize the scene. “We were doing drills running and touching every line. I turned wrong and dislocated my right knee. I fell to the ground, but refused to quit. I have worked so HARD during the past 18 years fighting this battle, and at the very end of a huge accomplishment my trials were continuing!”

He wrote Phillapines 4:13 on the bottom of tennis shoe. It was my motivation. All this for nothing? I pushed my leg straight knee cap back in ..Stood up to complete the drill with the applause of what became my teammates!” MY team mates were clapping for me as I pushed onward, and I felt the Holy Spirit!

He made the Varsity Basketball Team his senior YEAR!

He BELIEVED AND ACHIEVED!

When he was 3 Months OLD his journey began, and now at 18 year old he was playing basketball despite the negative energy to stop him. He went to college with a partial basketball scholarship at the Pillsbury Baptist Bible College, NAIA.

Time Management is the word of the day! We all have insane schedules, meetings to attend, family obligations, and find time to sleep! Did I forget to mention grocery shopping? Networking Tip: it is encouraged to meet people for a 1:1 appointment, and build relationships face to face. It may be hard to set appointments with individuals when both schedules are extremely busy. Steve taught me an excellent lesson about implementation, 2 days prior to an event I organized in Cincinnati. Steve helped by inviting Jim Breech to my event as a celebrity guest to raise money for our charity with Rupert’s Kids and Rita Kuntz. Steve met me on a Thursday, before the event, and said, “Sure, Elizabeth, I will call you later this afternoon with confirmation.” I was amazed because I am the queen of implementation, and I met Jim Breech in person on June 1. Steve has hired me to be his Social Media Diva and we are going to be working special projects this upcoming year raising money for a variety of charities around Cincinnati!

Steve is a True Italian Networker. If you need something, he knows a guy, who knows a guy, who knows a guy…………….. Most importantly, Steve has an amazing heart for people! This past Sunday, he was the host of a Poker Run, and Concert in Memory of Sydney Monet…. The proceeds were benefiting Artworks in Camp Livingston.

My marketing career began in the network marketing industry. I was determined to be a successful network marketing, and attracted business with Social Media. In result, currently, I personally write copy and work directly with leaders of the network marketing industry. In addition, I work for an International Marketing Firm! Today, I interviewed Dean Manheimer! He is the North American Leader of Dubli.com, and our stories share a common bond. We introduced traditional business practices into our network marketing business. Lastly, our desire to find success would not allow failure as an option!

Dean Manheimer graduated from Arizona State University, and began his business career as a Retail Chain General Merchandise Manager. He was responsible for a 85 Million dollar Division. He worked in traditional business, and ran the consolidation/operational side of the division. During the next 15 years he experienced the life of traditional business…… Something was missing in his career? Dean wanted full control of his life and became an entrepreneur………………………………..

Dean purchased a few companies, built strategic partnerships, owned restaurants, finished contractor in constructions niche, introduced to city government, used his capital at risk, liability exposure!! Lastly, was introduced to network marketing! I really enjoy Dean’s perception of network marketing. Network marketing is a different distribution channel for various products and services ultimately transferred to the end user.

Dean failed during the first two years when he started his network marketing business. FAILURE was not an OPTION! He had the tenacity and stamina to continue. Elizabeth Cobb had the same determination! Dean said: “One day I woke up! Maybe I’m not as smart as I thought?” He started to listen to people in the industry, and included in his overall business plan the discipline he learned from the traditional business world. The third year he made 6 figures, and Dean said: we’ve been blessed with seven figures! Taking on the challenge is the best part of the game in life!

My final question to Dean: What advice do you offer “newbie” network marketers?

“If you want to be successful you must understand, YOU need to be a servant to other people! We teach, if the product does right, is applicable in peoples everyday lives, you will be successful! If I’m a servant. I serve them to make sure I do everything to help them be successful… If I go at my business with only personal gain at mind, I won’t be successful in the long term. The KEY is serving others and providing them with a quality PRODUCT! Dean is a leader in North America with Dubli. Dubli’s Dubli’s business model is significantly different than the traditional network marketing model.

If you don’t offer value to the consumer, they don’t need you! You have the opportunity to make incredible income by bringing value to millions of consumers and their families!!!!

In life we have crossroads and choices to make. Doors close and windows open, but most importantly, when your heart yearns for something more…… The people that run with their dreams and have faith are the Rainmakers of the world. I was feeling suffrocated in the classroom as a Special Education Teacher in Owenton, KY. I loved my students, and they taught me lessons that I will carry on throughout my life. I put my heart and soul into teaching. I was feeling a need to help millions of children. I knew this could be accomplished by becoming an entrepreneur. In addition, the same day I was first introduced to Dani Johnson in the Appalachian Mountains, I received a pink slip! WOW…. What a sign to choose the path of entrepreneurship?

April 2008: Spring Break! My friend drove down from Michigan, and we decided to take a road trip to Charlotte, NC. My brother just recently moved to Charlotte, and I was excited to visit my FAVORITE sibling! He is the greatest brother on the planet, and the two of us stick together. (He is my only sibling!) I had the entrepreneur bug and wanted to start my own marketing firm. On Spring Break, my friend and I masterminded our plan as entrepreneurs. The road trip was amazing, and I realized that for the rest of my life ElizabethCobb.com wanted to wander the planet, help as many people as possible, and be a professional blogger/Marketing Specialist. I love the song by Carrie Underwood. It describes my journey of faith!

At the time, I didn’t even realize how amazing my journey would entail, but I was ready. I remember driving on I-40 heading West to Knoxville, and my friend sharing a story about an amazing entrepreneur. The entrepreneur was Dani Johnson. I came into contact with Dani Johnson for the first time in the Appalachian Mountains!

I became very intrigued in the conversation and listened to my friend describe Dani’s biography. My friend shared Dani’s path of being so determined to accomplish her goals. Dani COLD called in Hawaii and started her business with pennies! I envisioned the same path for myself, and immediately started researching Dani. If Dani could accomplish this amazing career, Elizabeth Cobb would follow suit.

I thank Dani Johnson for being one of my first mentors. I was privileged to contact her Corporate Office and speak directly with her Executive Assistant. This is the TJ Couzens Story – As a young gentleman my parents went through a bitter divorce and my single mother had to earn a living by herself. We lived in Michigan and she provided for us. We grew up very poor, and learned business acumen from various individuals. Those individuals became my mentors in life, and led me to become an entrepreneur. I worked at a cheese factory in Grand Rapids, Michigan for next to nothing, at the age of 17. In the next three years, with hard work, I began as a box boy…moved up to Production…Production Manager…General Manager, and promoted as Vice President. I was a VP at the age of 20 years old. This afternoon I interviewed an energetic entrepreneur. He inspired me to write a blog piece to share with you his passion! A passion of being entrepreneurs during this time period when many people are afraid to start their own business…..

The first question I asked Greg: Why are you an entrepreneur? Share with my followers your strategies you have implemented in your business to be successful?

Greg stated:

“When you find something that you believe in. I recommend working it hard, believe you can achieve your dreams, and you must have faith in the Lord above! Greg described an excellent example of an entrepreneur that believed in inventing the light bulb. After Thomas Edison completed the 100th prototype for the light bulb and he didn’t stop masterminding the invention. Most people would have quit but Thomas Edison was determined. A person asked Edison why did he keep working on the light bulb? Thomas Edison said he found 100 ways it didn’t work. Edison taught an excellent lesson… It is about our MINDSET, and determination to find what does work and stop focusing on what doesn’t work. You have to focus on things that are widely acceptable.

As an entrepreneur you MUST have a broad appeal. You need to discover the need, segment, sector of a business, appeal, and demand for your products or services….By all means go for it! The internet is a wonderful tool if you leverage it properly. Many businesses are struggling with finding ways to get traffic to their website. The KEY is the marketing plan. The internet offers entrepreneurs the ability to build their brands globally. As an entrepreneur you must have the “Right technology and right product!”
