A marketing plan is a written document made for achieving the overall business objective. It should be based on a solid marketing strategy. The purpose of making the marketing plan is to narrow down the general objectives to specific objectives in order to devise a detailed plan of action for each program of the company. Careful monitoring of the marketing plan is very important because it is prone to failure if not closely followed and if it impossible to implement. Often marketing plans fail due to insufficient or impossible to attain strategies. The basic content in the marketing plan are as follows: Detailed information of the products and services, budget for marketing promotions and advertisement, complete details of the marketing location, price strategy and market segmentation.

Often marketing plans fail due to lack of strategies in making the plan. Below are the basic reasons why marketing plans fail:

General plan of objective not narrowed down
The purpose of breaking down the general objective to specifics is to individualize the programs. It allows a clean and step by step implementation of the plan.

Sometimes more attention is given to the flow of cash inside the company and the cash outflow is not monitored further leading to insufficient funds for advertising, promotional activities and other marketing expenses.

The best way to be sure if the projects and the objectives is realistic is to conduct a feasibility study on the products and services. That way, there is a basis for every activity planned.

Time-Bound
Meeting deadlines is very important in order to cope up with the demands of the business. This will allow control on the overall process and therefore, deliveries are made convenient and fast to ensure consumer satisfaction.

The five basic methods are the simplest and the easiest way to use in planning. It is widely used and studies have shown it to be effective in planning strategies. It ensures that everything in the plan is covered. Using these steps the proper way will surely bring success in marketing.

Time management is the key to grow your business. Many people start home based businesses when they are working full time and raising a family. People start businesses to build leverage, time, and make more money in their life. Network marketing is a very lucrative business and very exciting because people can make more money in this industry in five years that equals a 30 years in a career. The key is how can we build our networking companies and still have time to sleep at night?

I was that person thinking that every prospect that I came into contact would be a great business associate in my organization. I would prospect in Walmart, and spend endless hours trying to convince to join my team. In result, much time was waisted and frustration set in. I was about ready to quit. I never quit. How can this be happening to me? I decided to research online how other people are building their organizations and able to leave their full time jobs.

What I discovered was my marketing knowledge and mindset was hurting my networking business. I paid for an assortment of programs that taught me two major aspects of network marketing. I need to state in my head I will be successful and determined to accomplish my goals on a daily basis. What characteristics of the product do I love and are the reasons behind my determination to grow my business from home? I also realized that I need to market to individuals seeking my product. People are out there wanting to work from home, have the determination that I have, and desire the coaching. I will teach them on how to grow their businesses online. Online marketing was the key because it exploded my networking business 10 fold. I attracted people into my business in the niche I was selling. Web 2.0!!! This was the key to my success and building my marketing funnel.

I don’t have to spend endless hours, prospecting, and giving up sleep anymore. I was determined to set a schedule of working the business 90 minutes per day. I implemented my marketing funnel that included Facebook, Twitter, Myspace, You Tube. As the next few weeks progress, I will share my exact pieces to my marketing funnel. The most important thing is to dedicate 90 minutes per day to your business. I would recommend waking up an extra hour earlier in the morning, and working one extra hour in the evening when you get home. I was determined to leave my JOB and live my dreams.

They key is marketing and mindset!! Change your mindset. You can achieve your dreams. Don’t ever look into the past, but wake up each morning with an attitude, “Who can I help today?”

Today, if you turn on the news, the world is coming to an end. Or is the world just out of line and trying to recover from years of neglect? Skill trades are changing, people are thinking outside of the box, and new businesses are starting on a daily basis.

Don’t be scared! Step up the plate. I wake up every day excited because I think, “who can I meet today to coach and consult with?” The internet has given us the opportunity to network with people across the world regardless of your location. The education available online to become the next internet specialist is available.

I think about my grandmother and how she survived WW2 by attending nursing school in a hospital in Iowa. It was more feasible for her to stay in the hospital and train during the day during the WAR. She adapted to her surroundings and survived to become a successful nurse for over 30 years.

In my case, I am surviving these times by accessing the internet and social media. The possibilities are endless and it’s important to stay informed and seek out mentors that offer to assist you to grow your businesses.

You Tube, Myspace, Facebook, Twitter, WordPress, Blogging…….these are all possibilities to market your products and services. You need to be educated to market your products….Most importantly, don’t send out to the world a negative vibration and attract wrong things in your life. Did you just recently lose your job?

I was there, and I thought we were going to lose our farm,cars, and everything else that we acquired when times were good. I was sending out the wrong energy.

When I went online and started learning from the great internet marketers and applying their techniques to my own company, I became very successful in a short time period.

You have to work hard! You have to research, and filter what you can introduce in your business. Don’t be discouraged. Send the positive vibe out and attract good things into your life. Remember law of attraction is only good, when you take action.

My advice this week is to be positive, turn off the TV set, and get to work online!! There are endless opportunities to work at home. MLM, network marketing, selling products, or even just becoming a consultant and sharing your knowledge WILL attract positive things into your life.

When you are starting a business. You are excited and ready to build the business and bring leverage into your life. You want to earn money on your terms, and not have a boss looking over your shoulders. Most importantly, you want to give your family the choicesnever offered before, move to a better neighborhood, or even pay off all the debt you’ve acquired. You deserve more.  I’ve been in your shoes. I graduated from a college in Michigan and thought, “WOW, I have earned my degree and paid the University thousands of dollars. I can work and pay off all my debts and live the dreams.” Unfortunately, I didn’t realize I have to MARKET MYSELF, and learn how to become a business owner with experience.

Sales was the way to go. My first job out of college was selling Medicare supplements to senior citizens. I loved sales and travelling. The job was perfect for me. As I look back, my marketing and lead systems were completely wrong. I was cold calling homes and should of set appointments beforehand. I spent more time on the road, and I be networking with my prospects.   In result, my numbers were low, and I was unsuccessful. Key advice, I should of set appointments and triple booked them. The numbers would have been more advantageous.

The Medicare supplement job forced me into researching online from professionals. There are millions out there, but I want you to realize the learning curve is an everyday process if you want to stay informed and educated.   Go out and learn from these GURUS!  Don’t buy every product they sell. I’ve been there and now think smarter and SAVE MONEY.  

• The most important thing is acquire as much information for free. Everyday I will put my email address on gurus lists because they email me back with tips and ideas. I sign up for their free webinairs. I take advantage of their advice. They offer free advice to entice you to buy their products. You don’t always have to buy. Save thousands of dollars from my advice, and still seek out what they have to offer.  Yesterday, I listened to a webinair promoting a marketing company for MLM networkers. They wanted me to buy their system. I already have a system, but they teach me things on a different level. It’s free and I will continue to go when their topics grab my attention. Also, they teach you sales pitches that you can learn and introduce back into your business.

Remember, pick and choose which ones you will pay for, and which ones you will listen to acquire the free knowledge. My final tip for the day. As a marketer, you will learn the knowledge and set up a plan to market it as well. Knowledge is power and take it to the next level!
