Mount Rushmore, “Under the Tuscan Sun,” and TeachingEmpowerment.com?

ElizabethCobb.com,  sat patiently, at Mount Rushmore National Memorial in South Dakota. I was so honored to witness, with my own eyes, Mount Rushmore.   I made a promise to each President, during the lighting of the mountain, to  lead my mission to empower “the lonely entrepreneur.” The National Park Services described each President, and how they rose to become magnificent men in American History.

“The purpose of the memorial is to communicate the founding, expansion, preservation, and unification of the United States with colossal statues of Washington, Jefferson, Lincoln, and Theodore Roosevelt.” Gutzon Borglum

I looked up at Mount Rushmore and smiled  with great intent to implement my plan. 30 days later, TeachingEmpowerment.com was masterminded with Angela Giles and Elizabeth Cobb in San Diego, CA.

Long before, my Mount Rushmore Experience, I saw a movie that influenced my life.  When I was young, growing up in Owosso, Michigan, my friends and I would go to the movies. The student discount was $5 and the movies opened my eyes to the world. I loved to dream and be creative. Now as I look back, I was preparing to write my script.  I wanted to write a script that empowered people, the same way, I was empowered to dream when I was growing up. As I write this blog,  I am watching one of my favorite movies, “Under the Tuscan Sun.” It was based on Frances Mayes’ memoir in 1996. Diane Lane instantly became one of my favorite actresses after she starred in “Under the Tuscan Sun.” I recommend the movie. My summary of the movie: “life presents obstacles but  with love, passion, strength, and relationships, we overcome any obstacle.”

I am making a new promise tonight and it will be completed in Italy. I will complete one of my movie scripts in my villa.  I haven’t found the villa but she is waiting patiently for me.  There are so many options and opportunities, so the Italian Villa could be near Venice, Rome, Tuscany, or…..Milano?  Most importantly, my Italian Villa needs renovation. You must watch “Under the Tuscan Sun” to completely understand.   I know my villa is waiting for me patiently, but I have a lot of work to do to find her!!  Have a wonderful week!
